Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, ID is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy team, providing both routine and emergency care including ventilator management and ABG analysis.

The role requires independent clinical judgment, mentorship of new staff, and collaboration with physicians in critical care units. Licensure to practice in Idaho or Oregon and NBRC RRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice respiratory care in Idaho or Oregon.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• Additional SAHS certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessment and ventilator management.
• Conduct pulmonary diagnostics and ABG analysis.
• Deliver aerosols, airway care, and bronchoscopy support as needed.
• Provide independent clinical judgment and adjust care per protocols.
• Precept and mentor new and existing staff; participate in rounds.
• Complete mandatory training and arterial line/ABG procedures.
