Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Licenses and certifications: RCP, NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, all required upon hire.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care areas such as ICU, CVICU, NICU, BURN, or Emergency Departments.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment skills, and proficiency with healthcare databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution, including aerosolized medications, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Educate patients, families, and support systems while fostering team collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Ensure safety and quality by promoting accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement projects.
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures and contribute to pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac procedures as needed.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, students, and peers, demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills.
