Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within defined timeframes after start date.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Must maintain NBRC-RRT credential and state license.
• Respiratory Therapist must obtain neonatal resuscitation readiness.
• Associate or baccalaureate degree in respiratory therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and conduct focused exams and interpretations.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen and airway clearance.
• Manage ventilation, invasive and noninvasive, with close monitoring.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with care team.
• Maintain equipment and follow infection prevention standards.
