Job summary

Ava Health in Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for residential care to support individuals recovering from substance use and mental health challenges. The RN will manage medications, monitor health, and educate clients within a high‑acuity inpatient setting.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to tailor treatment plans, ensure safety, and uphold regulatory standards while advocating for patients’ overall well‑being.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Colorado.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Addictions nursing certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including MAT, detox protocols, and psychotropic meds per physician orders.
• Conduct admission health assessments and monitor physical and mental health.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
• Educate clients on health topics, adherence, and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control, and safety protocols.
• Advocate for clients’ healthcare needs and coordinate care with external providers.
