We are seeking a flexible, team-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our small, single-operating-room Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) on a PRN basis. Our center specializes in outpatient urologic procedures for patients of Fairbanks Urology, working closely with two urologists, anesthesia personnel, and fellow nursing staff. Surgeries are currently scheduled on Wednesdays, and availability on Wednesdays is strongly preferred. This is a PRN position with no guaranteed hours, and scheduling needs will vary based on the surgical schedule and patient volume. Cases begin early in the day, and end times vary depending on when procedures are completed and patients have safely transitioned through recovery. Shifts may be as short as a few hours or extend up to 12 hours. There may also be Wednesdays when staffing is not needed, depending on the surgical schedule and operational needs.
