Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PRN pool to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and education. The role emphasizes safety, coordination across units, and advocacy for patients and families.

Responsibilities include using nursing processes, coordinating with caregivers, and contributing to performance improvement and professional development. PRN status requires flexibility and up to four 12-hour shifts per 4-week cycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS certification required for all following areas.
• New graduates must obtain ACLS within 90 days of employment in ECC/GI/Cath Lab/Labor & Delivery/ICU/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate care across settings and among caregivers; ensure continuity of care.
• Manage information and utilize technology to support nursing processes.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional development within the nursing team.
