Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem/as-needed scheduling to coordinate and implement patient care across age groups. You will ensure quality care in a safe, efficient manner aligned with unit standards and organizational mission.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program with an NM RN license or a valid compact license, and BLS certification with additional certifications within 6 months if not already current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license; BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date; other certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records initial assessment and priorities by patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assesses patients to identify progress and required interventions.
• Implements an individualized plan of care within Nursing Standards of Care timeframes.
• Makes nursing decisions based on facts and evaluates outcomes; updates care plan accordingly.
• Participates in health education and discharge planning with patients and families.
• Documents timely interventions and evaluates the plan of care.
• Performs point-of-care testing as required.
