Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care across ages on assigned units. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining nursing standards.

Requirements include NM RN license, BLS, and current knowledge of age-appropriate care. The 7AM–7PM schedule is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients’ rights in the delivery of care
• Communicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patient
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS competencies; leader of self/others/leaders
• Obtains and records initial assessment and sets priorities by patient age and symptoms
• Re-assesses patients to identify progress requiring intervention
• Develops and implements a measurable plan of care within Nursing Standards
• Makes nursing decisions and revises the plan based on evaluations
• Participates in health education and discharge planning
• Documents timely interventions and evaluates outcomes
• Performs Point of Care testing
• Communicates effectively; delegates tasks and coordinates team assignments
• Follows chain of command and mentors staff
• Promotes a positive work environment and supports unit growth
• Collaborates to achieve unit and organizational goals

Education
