Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Knowledgeable about patients’ rights in the delivery of care.
• Clear and concise communication appropriate to the developmental age of patient.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of the OneCHRISTUS competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Obtain and record initial assessment and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement a measurable individualized plan of care within Nursing Standards of Care.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on facts and evaluations of patient outcome; modify the plan as needed.
• Participate in patient/family health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions for patient needs.
• Evaluate the plan of care.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures.
