Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life for residents, typically 8–16 hours per month with potential for additional coverage.

Applicants should have RD credentials, a relevant degree, and active licensure, plus experience or ability to educate the care team on nutrition. This role is onsite at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
