Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. You will assess nutritional needs, plan interventions, and support residents’ quality of life in collaboration with the healthcare team.

The role is typically scheduled for 8–16 hours per month, with potential for additional weekday, weekend, or vacation coverage. Experience and licensure as a Registered Dietitian are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with current certification and license.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or eligible per Academy standards.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Ability to educate others on nutrition.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
