Job summary

We are looking to add an experienced PRN Registered Dietitian to our healthcare & food service team in Pittsburgh, PA.

As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national exam by CDR or meets requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with departments to set up procedures, policies, and problem solve related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
