Job summary

We are seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for our healthcare & food service team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life per patient goals. This position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week.

The role requires RD credentials, state licensure, and CE requirements; you will educate patients and collaborate with the health care team to meet standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (pre-2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination (CDR) or eligible per Academy requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
