We are seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving patient quality of life consistent with goals.

The position typically schedules 8–16 hours per week and requires a nutrition degree, CDR eligibility, and state licensure. This on-site role offers growth opportunities within a family of hospitality brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, per CDR portfolio process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsabilités

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
