Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare and food service team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and maintain nutritional status, and enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

This position typically supports 8–16 hours per week. Work is onsite at Allegheny General Hospital, with a focus on clinical nutrition within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meet eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified as per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and ongoing program development.
