Qualifications

• Formal Radiology Technology Program completion (AMA approved).
• ARRT registration required or must be registered within 1 year if new graduate.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history on requisition submitted by physician.
• Verifies patient identity before procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and positions patients correctly for procedures.
• Maintains records per departmental standards.
