Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to support six urgent care locations. Travel between clinics is required; evenings and weekends may be needed based on staffing.

You will perform radiology procedures, assist radiologists, prepare contrast media, and ensure patient safety and image quality. The role requires an Associate's degree or completion of a radiologic sciences program, ARRT registry or eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program; may be contingent on degree completion within 90 days.
• ARRT registry or registry-eligible with registration within 12 months of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to protocols.
• Ensures correct patient demographics, saves and transmits images to PACS, and documents in RIS.
• Performs routine radiology procedures and maintains image quality.
• Verifies patient identity, pregnancy status, and safety; responds to emergencies.
• Uses RIS, PACS, and HIS to access data and document procedure status.
