Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (PRN) to join our radiology team. You will perform general diagnostic radiography, operate digital equipment, and support RIS/MediTech workflows while ensuring patient comfort across pediatric to geriatric populations.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, Texas license, and commitment to infection control, accuracy, and safety.

Qualifications

Education: Must have one of the following
Certificate of Training in Radiologic Technology Program
Associates of Science or above in Radiologic Technology
Experience: None required
Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit
Preferred- Current or previous experience in the hospital setting to include PACS system and digital radiology.

Responsibilities

Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patients.
Demonstrate competency in general diagnostic radiography and use of digital equipment.
Use RIS, Meditech for scheduling, tracking, and exam completion.
Follow infection control/universal precautions.
Accommodate inpatient or urgent exam requests.
Observe image artifacts and maintain equipment.
Assess situations and decide on actions.
Obtain patient history and assist radiologist during procedures.
Report equipment issues to supervisor.
Shut down radiologic equipment or reboot computers.
