Centrum Surgery Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist OR PRN to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The technologist will prepare and operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under physician supervision, ensuring imaging quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited radiologic technology degree, Texas MRT licensure, ARRT certification, BLS, and at least 2 years radiology experience (including OR exposure). This role emphasizes patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an Associate Degree in Radiology Studies.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• Certified by ARRT in Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of radiology experience in a healthcare facility (with one year in the OR).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and operate radiographic, X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and best practices in the operating room.
• Adjust kilovoltage and milliamperage to prescribed specifications.
• Protect patients and staff by radiation safety techniques and shielding.
• Position patient and equipment to obtain quality X-ray images.
• Review X-rays for clarity and retake if needed.
• Distribute films and transfer images to EMR.
• Perform QC checks to meet standards and policies.
• Report accidents and address hazards promptly.
• Communicate hazards to peers and management.
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
