Job summary

Akumin is hiring for a PRN Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist at our Tampa, FL facilities. This per-diem role requires producing diagnostic radiographs, maintaining image quality, and ensuring patient safety under licensed supervision.

As a PRN technician, you’ll cover shifts across multiple locations, demonstrate HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with radiologists and other staff to deliver timely, accurate exams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT(R) certification and state license where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification; ACLS where applicable; valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and provide patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographic images for interpretation and ensure quality exams.
• Operate or assist with ionizing radiation procedures following laws and policy.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and effective patient communication.
• Proficient with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems; participate in trainings.
• Support coverage across sites and complete required competencies.
