Job summary

Encore Parkside is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to support therapy across Parkside, Foulk, and Wilmington communities. Under a licensed PT, you will deliver skilled physical therapy treatments to enhance patient independence and function.

You will participate in care planning, document services, and collaborate with the rehab team to implement individualized plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment use. Delaware licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) therapy program.
• Current DE state licensure.
• CPR Certification.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth).
• Must pass a medical and physical examination based on job qualifications, requirements, and duties/responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department, and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.
• Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
• Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including but not limited to: Therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary care, modalities, group sessions, and related duties.
