Job summary

Ambercare Homecare in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for PRN shifts, delivering 15-18 visits weekly across Albuquerque and surrounding areas.

You will provide direct PTA services under supervision, assisting with exercises, gait training, and patient education, while documenting progress and reporting to the supervising therapist.

Required: PTA degree (APTA approved), NM licensure, CPR, and ability to travel to patient homes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate's degree (AS/AA) approved by APTA.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in NM.
• CPR certification up to date.
• Ability to perform home visits and travel to patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy under supervision of a PT and per plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maximize independence.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Document treatments and progress in the clinical record.
• Report changes to the supervising PT and Director of Therapy.
