Job summary

Midwest Family Services seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home health therapy in Wayne and Stark Counties, Ohio. Travel to patient homes is required, with mileage reimbursement per policy.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and contribute to patient goals in the home setting. Ideal candidates are licensed PTAs in Ohio, with current BLS/CPR certification, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Ohio PTA license.
• BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT interventions according to the plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, strengthening, balance, gait, and transfers.
• Reinforce education on home exercise programs and safety measures.
• Observe and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the supervising PT and team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation for services provided.
