Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat residents and short-term patients at Accel at College Station in College Station, Texas. The position involves providing therapy services per physician orders and contributing to care planning.

You will document progress, assist with discharge planning, and support a safe, clean rehab environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas PTA license/certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to interact with staff and customers across departments.
• Meet physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.
• Experience in a geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services per physician orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall therapy plan of care with goals, duration, and frequency.
• Therapists perform skilled treatments according to the plan of care.
• Documents observations and patient responses within required timeframes.
• Completes all documentation timely and per regulations and policies.
• Completes billing for skilled services on the date of provision.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area with infection prevention methods.
