Job summary

St. Giles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will assist residents to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of PT treatment practices and care plans.
• Ability to document per policies and state/federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under PT supervision.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the PT.
• Modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely documentation per policies and requirements.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
