Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team at Pine Creek Rehab in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role offers flexible PRN scheduling with no minimum hour requirement and opportunities to pick up hours at nearby partner facilities.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to help older adults regain mobility and independence, focusing on gait, transfers, balance, and functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred (one year ideal), but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, functional therapy to a geriatric population.
• Gait and mobility retraining.
• Transfer training across all levels of assistance.
• Strengthening, balance, and fall prevention.
• Supporting patients with medically complex conditions.
• Collaborating with the supervising PT on care progression.
• Work alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery.
