Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team at Pine Creek Rehab in West Salt Lake City. This role offers flexible scheduling and a focus on geriatric rehabilitation in a SNF setting.

You will perform gait and mobility retraining, transfer training, and balance work with supervision from a PT, collaborating with nursing, OT and speech for whole-person recovery.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred (one year ideal), but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, functional therapy to geriatric patients.
• Gait and mobility retraining for residents.
• Transfer training across levels of assistance.
• Strengthening, balance and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with supervising PT on care progression.
• Work with nursing, OT and speech to support holistic recovery.
