Job summary

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, Colorado, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join our acute care rehab team. You will work with physical therapists to implement plans of care, participate in discharge planning, and help patients regain mobility in a supportive environment.

The PTA must hold an accredited PTA/Associate degree and current CPR certification; six months to one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of PTA/Associate degree from an accredited program.
• Six months to one year related experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Examines patients to help determine the plan of care.
• Implements plan of care under the supervising PT.
• Maintains patient records and submits charges for services.
• Provides supervision of aides as allowed by scope of practice.
• Participates in discharge planning and care coordination.
