Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center and Veterans Community Living Center in Southern Colorado is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team on a full-time basis. You’ll work under a Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive setting.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, requiring licensure in Colorado, CPR/BLS, and a focus on helping patients regain strength, mobility, balance, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Hold a current, unrestricted Colorado PTA license.
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Compassionate and patient-focused.
• Dependable and professional.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
• Interest in making a difference in a rural community.

Responsibilities

• Providing therapeutic treatments according to the patient's plan of care.
• Helping patients improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and independence.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment.
• Communicating patient needs and progress with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
• Developing positive relationships with patients and their families.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Education

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant license

CPR/BLS certified or willing to obtain certification
