Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Madison, WI is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care, assessments, and treatment planning in a psychiatric setting. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and address patient needs through effective discharge planning and safety measures.

Qualified candidates will be licensed as an RN in Wisconsin, hold CPR certification, and have training in managing aggressive patients, with psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of employment in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• CPR certification required or within 30 days of hire; re-certification bi-annual.
• Formal training in management of the aggressive patient within 60 days of hire; annual re-certification.
• Psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
• QMP designation may be required as per Medical Staff bylaws.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessments and document as required.
• Collect, record, and analyze admission data within prescribed timeframe.
• Identify and document patient needs, safety concerns, and treatment goals.
• Develop and update the treatment plan; coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure adherence to EMTALA, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
