Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern PA is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support multiple shifts in a 86-bed acute psychiatric setting. You will apply nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care while maintaining safety and quality at all times.

You will lead milieu management, document thoroughly, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with Joint Commission guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state.
• Excellent clinical skills in psychiatric care.
• Ability to work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation to develop individualized care plans.
• Identifies risk levels and plans discharge considerations with interventions to meet expected outcomes.
• Implements psychiatric nursing interventions and maintains patient wellness.
• Administers medications safely, educates patients on regimens, and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Maintains professional standards and documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Maintains accurate medical records and transcribes physician orders per policy.
• Communicates patient needs and care plans to staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates duties and supports staff to uphold quality nursing care and safety.
• Float to various clinical services as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
