Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is hiring for PreOP/PACU in the Aerodigestive unit. You will provide medical care to outpatients undergoing anesthesia; the role requires at least one year in a critical care setting and no new grads. Shift 07:30–17:00, four 10-hour days, with no holidays, weekends, or on-call duties.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team and families to deliver patient-centered nursing care aligned with plans of care, evidence-based practice, and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. Required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. Preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions aligned with age and condition.
• Evaluates patient responses to care, documents progress, and communicates with team and families.
• Contributes to team by ensuring medication, storage and documentation standards are met.
• Provides unit orientation to patients and families.
• Supervises nursing activities and provides feedback to ensure safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with care team to implement plan of care and coordinate activities.
• Mentors students and new staff to support patient-centered care.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
