Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make nursing judgments and manage workload.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for PreOp/PACU patients, with ongoing evaluation of condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family needs for discharge.
