Job summary

South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a PRN RN for PACU to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia. The nurse will monitor status, ensure safety and comfort, and support the perioperative team in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires an accredited RN program, active Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS; PALS if required. Two years in PACU or CCU preferred, with strong clinical judgment and prioritization abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for PACU patients.
• Monitor patient condition after anesthesia and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms and prepare patients for discharge.
