Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery in Nashville is hiring a Pre Op/PACU PSU RN for day shift on a PRN basis. The RN will implement Pre-Op nursing assessments, care plans, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.

Under supervision of Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager, responsibilities include executing physician orders, assisting in procedure rooms with conscious sedation when needed, and maintaining sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly in a fast-paced perioperative setting.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and patient safety practices.
• Capability to care for patients from pediatric to geriatric ages.

Responsabilités

• Implement Pre-Op nursing assessments and Post Anesthesia Care records and care plans.
• Execute physician orders and ensure continuity and quality of nursing care.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and conscious sedation as needed.
• Utilize sterile technique and support perioperative team.
