Job summary

The Avante Group is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Skilled Nursing and Rehab Team in Ocala, FL. The PTA will provide services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, assist with assessments, treatment planning, and documentation, and support patient progress.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in physical therapy, PTA certification, and Florida licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for PTA.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation for patients.
• Document daily care and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and care team.

Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.


• Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.


• Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.


• Successful completion of the National Certification for P.T.A.


• Current state licensure or license eligible.


• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
