Job summary

Avante at Ocala is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide Physical Therapy services to patients by assisting in assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Functions under supervision of the Physical Therapist.

As part of our Skilled Nursing and Rehab team, you will support compassionate resident care and coordinate with families and staff while adhering to AHCA guidelines and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Complete treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.
• Document daily care per established guidelines.
• Communicate responses to treatment to residents, family and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy services to residents under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Assist in assessment, treatment planning and implementation.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with the supervising therapist.

Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.


• Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.


• Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.


• Successful completion of the National Certification for P.T.A.


• Current state licensure or license eligible.


• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Background Screening Requirement:

This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
