Position: PRN Physical Therapy Assistant
Edenbrook Edina, a skilled nursing facility in the Eden Senior Care Network, is now hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services at one or more of our locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards for rehabilitation services in accordance with the Company Mission and Goals.
- Be courteous and respectful to all patients, their environment, and their culture.
- Provide quality therapy services, including treatment interventions, program implementation, discharge planning, documentation, and communication under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Prioritize and maintain an appropriate work schedule for the facility.
- Assist therapy management in fostering a positive working relationship with facility staff.
- Adhere to policies and procedures for daily rehab department operations.
- Screen patients to determine evaluation needs under PT supervision.
- Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function to achieve maximum performance under PT supervision.
- Monitor patient responses, communicate changes, and update treatment plans as needed under PT supervision.
- Complete documentation accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with team members regarding patient care.
- Assist in data collection on patient progress under the supervising PT.
- Plan discharges when maximum benefits are achieved, in coordination with the PT.
- Provide accurate billing summaries.
- Attend in-service education sessions.
- Maintain an organized therapy department.
- Perform administrative duties to support therapy services.
- Identify new rehab admissions and notify the PT.
- Communicate upcoming discharges to staff.
- Attend care plan meetings as requested.
- Provide in-service education to staff when needed.
- Supervise PTA students appropriately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
