Position: PRN Physical Therapy Assistant

Edenbrook Edina, a skilled nursing facility in the Eden Senior Care Network, is now hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services at one or more of our locations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain standards for rehabilitation services in accordance with the Company Mission and Goals.
2. Be courteous and respectful to all patients, their environment, and their culture.
3. Provide quality therapy services, including treatment interventions, program implementation, discharge planning, documentation, and communication under the supervision of a physical therapist.
4. Prioritize and maintain an appropriate work schedule for the facility.
5. Assist therapy management in fostering a positive working relationship with facility staff.
6. Adhere to policies and procedures for daily rehab department operations.
7. Screen patients to determine evaluation needs under PT supervision.
8. Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function to achieve maximum performance under PT supervision.
9. Monitor patient responses, communicate changes, and update treatment plans as needed under PT supervision.
10. Complete documentation accurately and timely.
11. Collaborate with team members regarding patient care.
12. Assist in data collection on patient progress under the supervising PT.
13. Plan discharges when maximum benefits are achieved, in coordination with the PT.
14. Provide accurate billing summaries.
15. Attend in-service education sessions.
16. Maintain an organized therapy department.
17. Perform administrative duties to support therapy services.
18. Identify new rehab admissions and notify the PT.
19. Communicate upcoming discharges to staff.
20. Attend care plan meetings as requested.
21. Provide in-service education to staff when needed.
22. Supervise PTA students appropriately.
23. Perform other related duties as assigned.
