Job Description

Provide therapy to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist using various therapeutic techniques. Treat patients with respect, dignity, and privacy, motivating them to participate in therapy while adhering to the established plan of treatment. Use creative, patient-specific interventions to achieve positive outcomes and progress. Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs, develop plans of care, and implement functional maintenance programs. Accurately document patient progress within designated timeframes, clearly demonstrating the medical necessity of care to justify the treatment plan. Effectively utilize the computer system in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Valid and current license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapy assistant.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with insured, well-maintained vehicle as per state/organization requirements.
  • Ability to perform job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Basic computer skills, including using files, applications, internet, email, and understanding confidentiality protocols. Experience with Apple iPads and iPods is a plus.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply at some locations.
