Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our not-for-profit organization in Albert Lea, MN. The role involves planning, organizing and delivering physical therapy to residents across our facilities and home health settings.

You will conduct exams and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain and increase strength, while educating residents and families about treatment plans and home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• May require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.
• Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
• Educates clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans and home exercises.
• May supervise assistants, aides, and students providing care; may be asked to provide ongoing education to peers.
• Adheres to clinical practice guidelines and regulatory requirements; documents information for evaluation and planning.
