Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications per policy.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs to help residents recover, improve mobility, relieve pain and increase strength.
• Conducts examinations, evaluations and interventions for clients affected by injury or disease.
• Documents patient information for evaluation and treatment plans; updates plans as needed.
• May supervise assistants, aides and students and provide ongoing education to peers.
