Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan and implement individualized treatment programs, aiming to restore function, improve mobility and reduce pain across inpatient and outpatient caseloads.
You will work with an interdisciplinary team, participate in education efforts, document thoroughly in the EMR, and ensure timely discharge planning. Florida license within 90 days preferred; BLS and lymphedema cert are required or desired.

Evaluates, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy. Restores and maintains function, improves mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or limits permanent disabilities. Provides care for inpatient and/or outpatient caseload. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team regarding the needs of the patient. Opportunities to contribute to presentations, publications, supervision of students/interns and execution of departmental education efforts. Complete evaluation and treatments of assigned patients according to the established standards of care and physical therapy practice act including selecting assessment tools, tests and measures, goal setting, etc. Monitors and responds to the patient's response to treatment and adjusts accordingly, reassessing the patient as needed or at least every 2 weeks, and discharging the patient in a timely manner dependent on the needs of the patient. Collaborates and communicates with the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and discharge planning. Perform screenings for appropriate patients (may include lymphedema, fall risks, need for rehab) Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges. Documents evaluations and daily treatment sessions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record immediately upon completion of session. Accurately completes charge sheets billing within Medicare guidelines and performs live documentation for all patients with no more than 2 billing errors per month. Other duties as assigned.
