Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist for Urbana Hospital to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans and provide direct care across inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations. The role includes documentation of progress and coordinating with the care team.

The position requires licensure as a Physical Therapist in the practicing state, and BLS certification procedures within the specified timelines. Prior pediatric and team supervision experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days for RSFH; preferred upon hire for BSMH)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops an appropriate treatment plan with goals.
• Provides direct therapy to patients daily following plan of care.
• Maintains accurate treatment records and progress in EMR with timely co-signatures for PT assistants.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality of care.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and department policies.
• Supervises the physical therapist assistant’s treatments and growth.
