Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL, invites applications for a Physical Therapist PRN to join our flexible staffing pool. The PT will evaluate patients, design personalized recovery plans, and deliver evidence-based treatments across acute, inpatient rehab, or home health settings.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document progress, and educate patients and families on safe exercises and device use while meeting licensure and BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Experience: A min 1 year of work experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Licensure: Active state physical therapy license (e.g., Florida Department of Health).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation: Assess functional status, strength, and mobility to create tailored care plans
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide skilled physical therapy procedures to improve movement and independence.
• Education: Teach patients, families, and caregivers safe exercises, adaptive methods, and proper use of assistive devices.
• Documentation: Record accurate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans in a timely manner.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate transitions of care with doctors, nurses, and other specialists.
