Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Licensure: Active state physical therapy license (e.g., Florida Department of Health).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation: Assess functional status, strength, and mobility to create tailored care plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide skilled physical therapy procedures to improve movement and independence.
• Education: Teach patients, families, and caregivers safe exercises, adaptive methods, and proper use of assistive devices.
• Documentation: Record accurate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans in a timely manner.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate transitions of care with doctors, nurses, and other specialists.
