Job summary

The Bath Health and Wellness Center, part of Cleveland Clinic Akron General, is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join the Medical Laboratory Team on a PRN basis. You will perform blood collection and ensure proper specimen handling to support patient care.

This role requires flexibility across 6:30am–5:00pm and occasional weekend hours; prior phlebotomy experience and good patient communication help deliver a calm patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical proficiency with standard procedures and practices.
• Preferred: Formal Phlebotomy Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and follow venipuncture protocols.
• Verify order requests and identifying information prior to drawing blood or collecting specimens.
• Label all specimens and deliver to the appropriate processing area.
• Perform specimen processing and tasks such as accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
• Pickup and deliver blood, other sample types and lab supplies.
