Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Phlebotomy Program OR one year of specimen collection experience.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures.
• Verify orders and identifying information prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens and deliver to processing area.
• Follow venipuncture procedures and maintain logs.
• Greet patients professionally at check-in and outpatient desks.
• Enter test requests and receipts in the lab system.
• Process specimens and prepare for transport.
• Communicate essential information to staff.
• Transport blood and lab supplies between areas.
