This patient-friendly facility offers primary care, express care and a wide array of specialty services. Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career.

The Phlebotomy Technician is an integral member of the medical laboratory team whose primary function is the collection of blood samples from patients. Phlebotomy Technicians also facilitate the collection and transportation of other laboratory specimens (e.g. urine). Very often the patient’s only contact with the medical laboratory is with the Phlebotomy Technician. Many patients, from children and teens to adults, often find needles and the idea of having their blood drawn is frightening. It takes a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to put the patient at ease while obtaining all the required specimens.

This PRN position offers flexibility and provides opportunities for growth, with the ability to move to other teams internally, float to multiple locations or into a leadership starting as a team lead.

This is a PRN position with caregivers working days between 4:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture procedures and maintain appropriate log sheets.
  • Verify order requests and identifying information prior to drawing blood or collecting the specimen/kit.
  • Label all specimens collected and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
  • Perform specimen processing and send out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
  • Pick up and deliver blood, other sample types and lab supplies.
  • Float to multiple locations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques and common practices

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Formal phlebotomy certification
  • Previous phlebotomy experience, or graduate of a preferred phlebotomy school
  • Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with a clinical rotation/externship
Physical Requirements
