Labette Health in Parsons, KS is seeking a dependable PRN Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to join our Laboratory team. You will perform venipunctures and capillary punctures, label and process specimens, and prepare samples for in-house testing or reference labs.

In this role, you will maintain infection control, assist with specimen tracking in the EMR, and provide excellent customer service to patients and nursing staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification a plus.
• Phlebotomy or clinical experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Calm, compassionate demeanor with patients.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages.
• Accurately label and process specimens.
• Prepare samples for in-house testing or send-out to reference labs.
• Assist with specimen tracking and documentation in the EMR.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to infection control standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, nursing units, and clinic staff.
• Support lab operations as needed.
