Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Midlothian, VA. This casual – PRN position offers flexible hours and exposure to a variety of specimens, testing workflows and patient service.

You will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, enter data, process billing when required, and maintain logs with strong customer service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
